I climbed out of bed
sheets still clinging onto my naked body
you, still in a dream fairyland

I left you a handwritten love letter
on my pillow, ‘cause nobody
writes love letters anymore

Hope you can smell roses in each letter
hope you can feel my passion in each word
hope you can see me in each empty space and line

When you awake, I will be gone.
On your marble coffee table,
I’ve left you dark chocolate and a black rose

Thanks for the night you’ve given me
the clouds and mountains we’ve conquered
our pillow fight breaking glass and a mirror

I’ve left you dark chocolate
and a pitch dark black rose
on your marble coffee table…
